Home Team Claims

According to the Rules Revisions for Season V, only eight Analysts will Claim Home Teams during the Super Trifecta Bowl:

Season V Rules: Only eight of twelve playoff teams competing for the World Football Championship may be owned at the start of the Super Trifecta Bowl. The top eight Analysts from the regulars season will have a claim for ownership in this order: 1) Analyst of the Year, 2) Seeder’s Cup Winner, 3) Fibonacci Stakes Winner, 4) Player Haters Winner, 5) PC-Fecta Derby Winner, 6) Place in the Analyst of the Year, 7) Show in the Analyst of the Year, and 8) from 4th-8th position in the Analyst of the Year until eight teams are owned by Analysts. Analysts who finish out of the top eight positions will not own a team during the Super Trifecta Bowl.

If the Season ended today, Seeding for the Super Trifecta Bowl VI would be:

(1) Atwork (Win, Analyst of the Year) | Packers, NFC 2nd Seed (choice to release)

(2) The Strategist (Win, The Seeders’ Cup) | Ravens, AFC 1st Seed (choice to release)

(3) Wise Orangutan (Win, Fibonacci Stakes) | Seahawks, NFC 5th Seed (choice to release)

(–) Atwork (Win, Player Haters Preakness superseded by 1 above)

(4) Craft Brew (Win, PC-Fecta Derby) | Chiefs, AFC 2nd Seed (choice to release)

(5) Jimmy V (Place, Analyst of the Year ) | Rams (forced to release and select new team)

(–) Craft Brew (Show AoY) superseded by 4 above)

(6) B-Reezy (4th, Analyst of the Year) | Vikings, NFC 6th Seed (choice to release)

(7) Roxy Trot (5th, Analyst of the Year) | Patriots, AFC 3rd Seed (choice to release)

(8) Sponge Mom (6th, Analyst of the Year ) | 49ers, NFC 1st Seed (choice to release)

The Bookie (Bills), Big Tuna (Saints), Woody (Bears), KateTDid (Colts) and Little Tuna (Cowboys) are forced to release their current Home Teams before Super Trifecta Bowl VI.

An Analyst has quietly strung together 5 Trifectas in the past six weeks to move up the leader board in the Marathon of the Ass!

Jimmy V makes his move around the near turn to take the lead with 8 Trifectas and 26 Correct Picks. Atwork packs-it-in this past week and falls out of first place for the first time this season (7 Trifectas and 28 Correct Picks). Still running strong, Roxy Trot and Craft Brew hold claim to third place with 6 Trifectas and 27 Correct Picks each.

The Bookie slides down the leader board for a share of fifth place with B-Reezy at 5 Trifectas and 25 Correct Picks each.

With two Trifectas in two weeks, Sponge Mom and Woody keep climbing the leader board. Their 4 Trifectas and 24 Correct Picks now give them a share of seventh place.

The back of the field is led by Big Tuna who also has 4 Trifectas but only 23 Correct Picks in ninth place. Little Tuna drops to tenth place with 3 Trifectas and 23 Correct Picks, just ahead of Wise Orangutan in eleventh with 3 Trifectas and a league-low 18 Correct Picks.

The Strategist and KateTDid (2 Trifecta, 19 Correct Picks) share twelfth position and have now been officially eliminated from the Win in Analyst of the Year VI.

Coming out of the far turn, three Analysts earn a perfect Fibonacci *base* Trifecta to take the lead!

Sponge Mom and Woody move into the lead with 28 total Trifecta points each. Sponge Mom ( 3 Correct Home Team Picks) edges out Woody (0 Correct Home Team Picks) for first place and now has the inside rail for the Win! After two straight weeks earning the maximum points., B-Reezy trails by only 1 length (27 Trifecta points) in third place.

The Bookie and KateTDid‘s Colts stumble our of the near turn and both fall behind by 4 lengths (24 points each). The Bookie ( 3 Correct Home Team Picks) has the advantage for fourth place over KateTDid (1 Correct Home Team Pick) in fifth second place. Wise Orangutan (22 Trifecta points) runs in hand to move up the leader board into sixth place.

Craft Brew takes sole possession of seventh place with 19 Trifecta points, followed by Jimmy V in eighth place with 18 Trifecta points and Roxy Trot in ninth with 17 Trifecta points.

The Strategist falters around the closing turn and remains at 15 Trifecta points, dropping her from third place to tenth place. Atwork holds in eleventh place with 14 Trifecta points, followed by Big Tuna (12 Trifecta points) in twelfth place and Little Tuna laboring down the long track with 7 Trifecta points.
