Seeders’ Cup III | Week 15 Picks

Playoff Scenarios | Additional Score Potential

In The Seeders’ Cup, correct picks may award Seed Points, or “additional scoring,” if the team earns a playoff spot. The additional scores by playoff seeding are:

Clinch playoff berth (wildcard) = 2 points.
Clinch division title = 3 points.
Clinch a first-round bye in the playoffs = 4 points.
Clinch home field advantage in playoffs = 5 points.

Current playoff standings and playoff scenarios can be found online courtesy of CBS Sports.

The following teams have a chance to earn Seeder Points with a win:

Dallas = 4 or 5 points
Seattle = 3 points
Detroit = 3 points
Oakland = 2 points
Kansas City = 2 points
New York = 2 points

That is six options for up to 15 points.

Off the slate of games, New England may secure one of the first-round byes.

See the CBS scenarios to see which other teams must lose or tie for the above teams to secure playoff seeding.

Analyst of the Year III

Down the homestretch of the annual race, it is clear that no Analysts will be able to catch B-Reezy for the lead.

With 7 Trifectas and 31 Correct Picks, B-Reezy has locked up the most prestigious award in sports analysis in the fourteenth week of the season! He is chasing history now — to be the first Analyst with 8 or more trifectas in a single season!

The rest of the field is playing for the honor of a mention in The Winners’ Circle. The other seven Analysts still have a chance to have their names recorded as place or show!

Big Tuna holds onto second with 3 Trifectas and 27 Correct Picks, followed closely by Wise Orangutan (3 Trifectas and 26 Correct Picks) and Atwork (3 Trifectas and 25 Correct Picks).

Down by only one length to the Analyst currently in second place, Kal Krome narrowly leads the back of the pack with 2 Trifecta Points and 25 Correct Picks, followed closely by The Bookie (2 Trifecta Points and 24 Correct Picks) and Little Tuna (2 Trifecta Points and 22 Correct Picks).

The stubborn Strategist (1 Trifecta and 22 Correct Picks), who stuck by her Home Team head coach through thick and  thin, may herself be headed for the door if she does not earn a trifecta this week.

Standings | The Seeders’ Cup III | Playoff-Caliber Game Scoring | Quarter 1

The Seeders’ Cup III

The Seeders’ Cup is testing a new trifecta point system that models the score of a football game. See the Slate of Games and the Playoff-Caliber Game Rules for more information.

Playoff-Caliber Game Score | End of First Quarter

A low-scoring first quarter as no Analyst drives for a Touchdown in the week (i.e., correctly picks three winners).

Wise Orangutan and Atwork appeared to be marching for a Touchdown after getting their first two picks correct, but then settled for Field Goals (2 correct picks, 3 points) to end their drives.

The Strategist and B-Reezy struggled to move the ball early when KC defeated their first pick, Oakland, but then moved down the field to score Field Goals (3 points each) at the end of the first quarter.

Four Analyst fail to score in the first quarter, including Little Tuna who did not register one first down (0 correct picks!)

No additional scores were possible as no teams clinched playoff seeding during the week. Heading into the second quarter, it is a three-point game between the Analysts.
