The Quaternary Crown

Watch the video below to learn how a season-long fantasy football pick ’em league realizes the tension of a two-minute horse race!

The Four Races

The General Rules govern all four Races of the Quaternary Crown in all but three respects. Track rules determine a) how Analysts compete for *bonus* trifecta points, b) the value of  *bonus* trifecta points, and c) the third tiebreaker in the event of a photo-finish at the conclusion of a Quaternary Crown. Below are links to the track rules and a brief description of the storied events. The track rules also are available via the navigation links at the left.

The PC-Fecta Derby (Week 1 to Week 4)

A maddening run for the roses that challenges Analysts’ pre-season predictions, typically ending with one or more Home Teams headed to the glue factory after the first leg of the Quaternary Crown.

The Player Haters Preakness (Week 5 to Week 8)

A dastardly contest in which the Analysts blacken each other’ eyes with upset picks, the second leg of the Quaternary Crown is a ballers’ brawl. Don’t forget to bring your mugs to the club for the Festival of Kegasus!

The Fibonacci Stakes (Week 9 to Week 13)

An urgent run for the calculators by Analysts to determine who will sprint through the finish line and who will spiral out of control in the third leg of the Quaternary Crown.

The Seeders’ Cup (Week 14 to Week 17)

A rich turf festival of playoff implications, the fourth leg of the Quaternary Crown reveals the Analysts with the horse sense to see the year’s contenders and exposes the Analysts with asinine sense to love the perennial losers.
